Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Atlas collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects personal information across Atlas Properties, Atlas Lifestyle, Ergon, messaging, and related platform tools.
1. Information we collect
Atlas may collect identity and contact data, account settings, saved preferences, residence applications, service requests, uploaded files, messages, payment metadata, device and browser logs, analytics, security events, and other information you voluntarily submit through the Platform.
2. How we use information
Atlas uses personal information to create and manage accounts, operate listings and request workflows, route inquiries and communications, process billing, provide support, protect platform security, moderate content, improve services, maintain records, and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.
3. Lawful and fair processing
Atlas aims to process personal information only where we have a lawful and fair reason to do so, including where processing is reasonably necessary to provide requested platform functions, administer an agreement, protect legitimate operational and security interests, comply with legal obligations, or rely on consent where consent is required.
4. Sharing of information
Atlas may share information with property partners, contractors, vendors, event organizers, payment processors, communications providers, hosting providers, analytics providers, advisers, regulators, law enforcement, or courts where reasonably necessary for the function you requested, platform operations, or legal compliance.
5. Independent third parties
If you submit an inquiry, application, booking request, or service request, Atlas may disclose the relevant information to the third party needed to respond. Once disclosed, that third party's own privacy practices may apply. Atlas is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties.
6. Cross-border processing
Your information may be stored or processed in or outside The Bahamas. Where Atlas transfers personal data outside The Bahamas, Atlas may use contractual, operational, or technical measures intended to provide comparable protection, subject to applicable law.
7. Retention and security
Atlas keeps personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for operations, security, dispute handling, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, and legal compliance. Atlas uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access, misuse, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, updating, deletion, or restriction of personal data; to object to direct marketing; and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Atlas may need to verify identity before acting on a request.
9. Cookies and analytics
Atlas may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and analytics tools to remember preferences, secure the Platform, measure usage, and improve services. You can control certain cookies through browser settings, although some Platform features may then work less effectively.
10. Marketing
Atlas may send marketing where permitted by law. You can opt out using unsubscribe tools or by contacting Atlas. Operational, transactional, security, and legal notices may still be sent where necessary.
11. Children
The Platform is not intended for children under 18 without appropriate involvement of a parent, guardian, or other authorized adult where required.
12. Regulator and contact
You may have the right to complain to the relevant Bahamas regulator, including the Data Protection Commissioner where applicable. Privacy requests and notices may be sent to support@atlaslmc.com.
